Oh, GBFM is the real deal. The bizarro Tourette’s stylings and carefully ludicrous motifs of a reductive conspiracy theory are the masks beneath which he conceals the satirical venom of a Juvenal.
Part of the schtick is that one has to go digging through the comments on a notorious “game theory” blog (which, indeed, I also read sometimes for the articles, tho I’m less in sympathy to that than to GBFM himself) to find these responses; he anchors only a few rants on his own blog.
I suspect he is a Christian too, which I find endearing. I’m a sucker for doom and gloom, esp. if the purveying of it allows one to frequent dens of iniquity and indulge in Rabelasian reductio ad absurdum riffs on the demise of the culture.
Hysterically funny, and to me, loveable. I really love that masked, trademarked stranger. Godspeed, Great Books For Men! He may make a convert of me yet . . . .
He certainly has an individual style… Which is something to respect. Bet there are some readers who don’t see it as satirical though. It’s amazing lately how many wannabe “Alpha male” types I’ve encountered and they’d love it! Probably for somewhat different reasons…

Hi what happened to this guy? His wordpress is down and I can’t find anything else on him of late
We’re not sure what happened to the wordpress blog– except it got pulled for some reason– but he’s left occasional comments since at heartiste and Dalrock (that I know of).
As of late, he seems to be building a new website– his comments have a signed-in link, but right now going to a blank site.
Hopefully he’ll soon be up and running again, and with no more unfortunate mishaps lolzlzolz
